The Evolution of Ex Judicata

Ex Judicata was launched to serve the growing number of lawyers seeking to transition to nonlegal careers.

We provide information, training and resources to prepare JDs for making a move.

Included was the only Job Board where 100% of the positions are nonlegal roles for lawyers.

Shortly after debuting, Ex Judicata began receiving requests from organizations seeking to hire

lawyers for nonlegal jobs requiring a particular skill set and background not found on Job Boards.

This was in essence traditional search led by recruiters. In response, we created EXJ Search

We just embarked on out most ambitious platform to date, the EXJ Community

the first-ever peer-to-peer network for the several hundred thousand JDs already working in nonlegal careers.

A place where non-practicing lawyers (NPLs) across myriad careers and multiple industries can come

together to network, build relationships, offer support and guidance to one another, discuss career strategies

for advancement and trade best practices for business development.

We just went live.  You can join right here.

“Asked and Answered”

The question I get asked most often from lawyers who feel they have hit a wall and want to consider career alternatives is something like:

“Where do you suggest I start? I have no idea what types of opportunities are available for someone with my background.”

We created a tool specifically to help, the exj Diagnostic.  Put together with a pair of Ph.D.s in organizational behavior, it matches your personality, work history, and skill set with 25 different careers where JDs have proven successful time and time again.
